Cheltenham Science Festival 2013: ‘Just So Science’

Just back from this year’s Cheltenham Science Festival, where I was giving a talk about my research in ‘Just So Science’. The session was great fun, and as well as bats and serial killers, the audience heard about naked mole-rats (from my colleague Dr Chris Faulkes), axolotls and Burmese pythons (Vivienne Parry, the presenter of Radio 4’s ‘Just So Science’ series, who hosted this event) and Tasmanian devils (from Andrea Strakova). It was a gloriously sunny day, and Chris and I also caught Prof Tim Clutton-Brock’s session in the afternoon, before catching up with some friends over a few drinks later. Can’t wait for next year’s festival!
