Leitch Lab

Plant Evolutionary and Ecological Genomics

My group is  interested in plant genetics, genomics, and cytogenetics, focussing on questions of an evolutionary and ecological nature.  There is a  focus on the causes and consequences of interspecific hybridisation and polyploidisation in plants, as well as an interest on the origin and ecological consequence of plant genome sizes (click my research tab for more information).

If you are interested in joining the group as a postgraduate or postdoctoral research please contact me.  Marie Curie Fellowships are available, and periodically PhD studentships become available too.

We can readily apply for Chinese Scholarship Council studentships and Science without Borders (with Brazil) studentships (click PhD studentships or email me).
